We are seeking a Consultation .NET Specialist to provide expert guidance on reviewing and optimizing our team’s codebase while enhancing overall development practices. This part-time role is ideal for a seasoned professional passionate about elevating code quality, performance, and team efficiency. Compensation will be based on an hourly rate.

Responsibilities

    • Code Review & Improvement: Perform in-depth reviews of team members’ code to identify inefficiencies, bugs, and areas for enhancement.
    • Optimization Support: Suggest and assist with optimizations to improve the performance, maintainability, and scalability of applications.
    • Mentorship & Best Practices: Provide mentorship to developers, sharing knowledge of .NET best practices, coding standards, and clean code principles.
    • Architecture Review: Assess and recommend improvements to the existing architecture for scalability and future readiness.
    • Collaboration: Partner with developers to address challenges, provide actionable feedback, and support continuous improvement.
    • Technical Documentation: Deliver clear, actionable documentation of recommendations and best practices for future reference.

What we expect

  • Education: A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in .NET or software development are a plus.
  • Experience: At least 7 years of hands-on experience in .NET development, including .NET Core, .NET MVC, .NET 8, and related frameworks. Previous experience in code review and optimization is essential.
  • Skills: Advanced proficiency in C#, Entity Framework Core, SignalR, REST API development, and Microsoft SQL Server. Familiarity with Azure Blob Storage, Dapper, and Hangfire is required.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of design patterns, software architecture principles, and tools like Swagger/OpenAPI. Experience with Big Blue Button and Microsoft Identity Server is an advantage.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal English skills, with the ability to convey technical insights effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Expertise in analyzing complex codebases and providing practical, impactful solutions.
  • Availability: Flexible part-time availability to accommodate team needs.
  • Independence: Self-driven, able to manage tasks efficiently, and deliver high-quality outcomes consistently.
